There is a peace that runs through the lanes and hides in the baskets of fisherwomen that cannot be found anywhere else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Who are Goans?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Goans\u2019 a demonym used to describe the people of Goa. Ruled by the Portuguese for over 450 years, the culture is embedded with the remnants of the past. Right from their religious beliefs, attires, education, festivals, and art is highly influenced. Due to this Goa remains the most unique state in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Velha Goa\u2019s \u2018Goan Series\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As you\u2019ve read above Portuguese had a heavy influence on the culture that directed the unique lifestyle of Goans and it has even reflected on art.
